Lo Woods Rocks The House! We've known and loved Lo's playing for quite some time. He's got chops for days and a gift for composition that places him squarely at the summit of his genre. Lo Woods - pick up a few of his tunes and support the cause! Listen up!

"Shattering Conventional Notions Of Guitar Playing. Guitar-driven and cinematic, the tracks on his latest CD offer plenty of imagination, melody and of course, the occasional hyper-speed moments that display Woods' command of his instrument."

Loren "Lo" Woods - Undisturbed Space

By: MuzikMan (Associate Writer), 2001-12-1

Woods uses a nice layering method with electric and acoustic guitars and he handles it all by himself very expertly. Does he claim victory on this release? You bet your ass! The only undisturbed space is between this man's ears. He is very focused and determined to get every ounce of playability from every guitar he picks up. It's easy enough to recognize that Lo Woods enjoys what he is doing, so do I.

Lo Woods - The Rocker's Ballet. - I have previously described this Gunslinger as thoughtful, talented and engaging. That is an understatement. His music has a deeper, fuller, voluminous quality to it that sweeps you away. The Rocker's Ballet tune is an amazing composition with many moods and threads. It listens like an adventure. King's Chair is Electric Blues at its finest. A hauntingly sweet melody with superb instrumentation. *Banker's review, The Rocker's Ballet

Lo Woods - Guitar for Crazy People. -- An eclectic version of Lo Woods himself. Straight Rock, Jazz Fusion, Instrumental Metal and Smooth Jazz. All very masterful and Profound. You will walk away from this Cd with a new appreciation for the stringed instruments. *Banker's Review, Guitar For Crazy People CD

Musicians

The following is an excerpt from the November 1999 issue of HHGI Guitar Online Magazine

Our Unsung Greats installment features Loren 'Lo' Woods, an absolutely killer guitarist you just gotta hear!

Loren's "Guitar For Crazy People" is one of the funnest 'musical rides' you'll ever take. The guitar playing is not only excellent and constantly intriguing - but the compositions are top notch as well... constantly twisting, turning, but never boring! . . . *Howard Hart

Guitar-wise, Lo is hard to classify. Perhaps a little Jeff Beck, some Hendrix, and Eric Johnson. Lo also fires off incredible Alan Holdsworthian licks with a fluid accuracy not often heard. Imagine the above mentioned influences taken and evolved into a new and exciting player and that might start to describe Lo . . . Jeffrey Ryan Smoots, Guitarist

Lo...with my 30 years of playing guitar "live" I have never found another musician that has the speed, style and grace that you present musically ... "Farewell to a Friend" and "Strings Attached" are unmatched and untouchable for the "unaware" guitar player. I suggest any of you musicians out there that think you've heard the best..or may even think your the best....check out these tunes. They will make your fingers bleed..... without touching a string. Your a "Mad Man" with a guitar Lo. . . .

*Roger Sheapheard, Guitarist

Loren 'Lo' Woods is a truly inspired guitarist/songwriter of exceptional standards. His musical styles include rock, jazz-fusion, blues, instrumental & progressive. Lo plays guitar, bass, keyboards & drums. He is also joined by Bobby Taylor on bass, Larry "Bongo" Brannon on drums & percussion, & his brother Brandon Woods on rhythm guitar & bass.

Lo's techniques & playing abilities are nothing short of brilliant. His soulful, tasteful guitar mastery shares the ranks with players like Jeff Beck, Steve Morse, Larry Carlton & Alan Holdsworth. I once told Lo that he covers all the bases & that he does! His elegant chord voicings & textures, along with his intense, soaring riff work, with tones varying from ultra-warm to bright & shimmering are simply awe inspiring.

This man is a guitarist's guitarist. If you haven't heard Lo throw down, & you have an appetite for amazing guitar work, then you need to get over to his page & hear what you've been missing!

*Vince Vrbancic, Guitarist

Loren's a great player... he's probably always been a great player... but most likely sold ice cream cones or something in his last life... I mean, look at the guy's picture! You know there's a few interesting musical-cells goin' on in this guy's brain! This ain't 'happy saxophone' music for guitar folks!!

*Howard Hart. Guitarist

As usual, My little Buddy Lo Woods saves the day.....Just wanted to say thanks for playing this weekend......without your support I'd be homeless! Just when I think I've seen and heard all your chops you always seem to pull something else out of your bag of tricks.......You may be somewhat bored with yourself and this top 40 crap, but some of us regular folks still get a tremendous kick out of watching a MASTER at work. *Dallas Miller, The Dallas Miller Band. Kind of a departure for this shredder from the Hoosier state. Better listen close, you might miss something.
